INTERVIEW

FIRST QUESTION

What is judo for you?

Judo for me, is a way of life. It is a sport which gives you some importants values. They develop your personality and it´s usefull the rest of your life.

SECOND QUESTION

What is your favourite part of judo?

It´s a really complete sport that gives you important values as frienship, respect and  orderliness and an excellent physical condition.

THIRD QUESTION

Which are the most important skills to be a good judoka?

Every one can be a good judoka you only have to be humble and want to learn, but if you want to be a champion, you have to improve your physical and technique condition.

FOURTH QUESTION

Which is your favourite technique?

Morote Seionague. You have to throw your parter abobe your shoulder
 



FIFTH QUESTION


Which is your belt? How many years did you take to reach it?


I´m sixth dan black or red-white. A lot of years jajaja. Ok, I started doing judo when I was seven and now I´m forty three around thirty six years.

What called your attention to practice judo?


I was a child when I started to do judo, for me was a magic experience. It was a different way to play but then it turned into my favourite sport and nowadays it´s my occupation and my way of life.

SEVENTH QUESTION

Why did you become a teacher?


Because I love judo and when I retired in competitions I wanted to continue with judo and the best way was becoming a teacher an teaching futures judokas

Chokes and dislocations

CHOKES

Actually, chokes are not allowd in judo until you reach a specific age, but I´m going to talk about them.

You can do them in many places, but the most common place is the neck. 

As you can see, they can be violent, and if you don´t know how to do them, you can hurt your mate. 


DISLOCATIONS
As chokes, you can´t do them until you reach a speficic age. You can do them to every part of the body you want, but there are some specific points as elbows, shoulders, knees...


Judo Techniques

TECHNIQUES

There are a lot of techniques, but they are divided in two groups:

  • Standing judo techniques: you do them standing in front of your mate, and your intention is to throw donwn him. Here you have some examples:

  • Ground judo techniques: you are on the ground because you have throw donwn your mate, and you have to inmobilize him. Here you have some examples:

Belts

BELTS


There are 19 judo belts. The firts one is white, and the last one too, but no one can reach it, beacuse of respect to Jigoro Kano. For each belt until black belt you have to spend at least a year and you can wear it. At least, I had to do it. Now I´m Brown-blue belt, and it I´ll take me two years to reach the black one.

History

HISTORY OF JUDO

Judo is a martial art, combat and Olympic sport
created in Japan in 1882 by Jigoro Kano.
It is a competitive sport.  Now a days it is an Olympic sport and a very good auto-defense sport.

It's origens are from the samurais technics, the master take out danger techincs like dislocations and strangulations.
The objetive is to either throw or takedown your opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise, or force he or she to submit with a joint look or a choke.
And like this it born JUDO.
